Christmas List

[A note from Eru - I do NOT believe in Santa Claus. I never have, and I never will. And if I ever have kids, I won't let them believe in the guy either--I don't have anything against it, it's just the way I've been taught.
Point being, this list is just in jest. I don't expect Santa to actually read this. It's just something random.
Also, yes, the name I sign the 'letter' with is a really bad pun...or whatever you call it...I think I was a bit hyper when I wrote this. Because really, what kind of girl would have the first name (or middle name) 'Dontbe'? Bah. I'll shut up now.]

Dear Mister C.,

This will mark my first letter to you ever. I'm fifteen, and you probably don't get many letters from people my age. Anyway, enclosed is my Christmas list, which holds the items I've been wanting for a while.

You can send me one or all of these items, I'm not picky.

~*~

My own guitar - I've just started learning, and it would be nice to have one to practice with.

A pair of 'White Tree' sneakers (link) - Because honestly, those are some of the coolest shoes I've ever seen.

A cloak - A lot of the fantasy garb I wear to my swordfighting group is worn-out, and the cape I used to wear is practically shredded.

A ticket to Zucchero Fornaciari's concert in Ireland next year - Not for myself; for my mom. She really wants to go but can't find the money.

Celtic Thunder DVD(s) - I'm constantly ordering DVDs of their shows from the library, and it would be nice if I had a few of my own.

Celtic Thunder CD(s) - Same reason as above.

A dress that I could wear to a Ceilidh dance - Mostly because I just realized that, about a year ago in my major tomboy phase, I got rid of all my dresses. And if everything works out well, I might be going to an Irish Ceilidh dance next year, and I need something to wear.

An iPod - It's such a hassle to carry my portable CD player (and three CD folders) with me everywhere; I need a smaller and more convenient way of listening to music.

A cell phone - I honestly don't need one of these; the only reason I want one is so that my brother can't pick up the other line and shout "BADGER" into the phone when I'm talking to my friends.

A Celtic Thunder t-shirt - Because... well, just because Celtic Thunder is the best singing group in the history of this world.

A high-quality video camera - Me and my friends like to make short films and music videos, and the camera we use isn't very good quality.

The White Rose; George Donaldson's solo album - Because George Donaldson is an amazing singer.

In Time; Ryan Kelly's debut solo album - Because Ryan Kelly is also an amazing singer.

Pale Blue Jak - Faces; Neil Byrne's solo album - Neil Byrne is an amazing singer. That's why.

My own island - Where I don't have to deal with all the jerks in my life.

The secret to bringing the dead back to life - I want my loved ones back, sir.

Four pre-paid reservations (and plane tickets to) the 2013 Celtic Thunder Cruise - Because, in all honesty, I am having a heck of a time trying to earn that much money before January.

~*~

Yeah, I know the last three were kind of way out there, but they're still on my list. The last thing I would really, really want is this:

A world where everyone understands everyone else, and no one hurts any living thing intentionally, and people spend their lives doing kindness instead of harm.

And that's the hardest one yet. But if you're as great and wonderful as everyone says you are, Mister C., then it shouldn't be too big of a problem for you. Merry Christmas.

Sincerely yours,

I. Dontbe Leevenyu

  1. Fantastic list if you ask me(but you probably aren't asking me)
I would like to be a good person like you want everyone to be. But I know I have my moments when I am completely opposite to that, and everyone is completely opposite at one point. I want to say that Santa(even thought I don't believe that he is real, I did once, and think he is a good idea to help keep kids good so they aren't on his naughty list. XD) is not the one person who can help the world, but I think everyone needs to help. I hope that I can be a good person(at least most of the time) and maybe help others to be the same.
