Weekly Writing Prompts

This is my 'new thing'. Let us see if it flies, shall we?
Anyway. An explanation is probably in order.
Here's how WWP works. Every Friday (that is, every Friday I have time), I'll put up a few prompts. Sometimes it'll be one prompt for each genre (excluding romance, as I have no skill with that whatsoever), or sometimes it'll be several prompts for one genre, like, say, fantasy.
If you want, you will choose one or two of those prompts, and write a short story/chapter of a longer story based on it.
So. When you're finished with your story, you can either choose to contact me in some way (NaNoMail or email preferably), and let me know, or you can choose to use the 'right to remain silent' bit and not tell anyone! XD
Okay. Here are this week's prompts!
---
In a land far, far, away, there was a large cavern. In this cavern, there lived a dragon... (Fantasy, with J.R.R. Tolkien aspects! XD))

I could not believe I had let myself get caught! (Action/Adventure)

A pirate ship appeared on the red horizon, tattered flags fluttering in the wind... (Historical Fiction)

RULES:
* If you decide to show me your story, it MUST be rated no higher than PG. No swearing, no excessive violence, etc.

* You have no obligation to actually do this; only do it you want to.

* In order to make this more realistic, there's a deadline! Oi, stop your whining, pal. You must finish your story by NEXT FRIDAY! Even if you're not going to show it to me.

* Use your imagination and have fun!

Happy writing!
Good fortune,
Jack Renegade
