I'm thinking of doing Script Frenzy (Screnzy). Except I'm really not up for writing a script. I mean, I want to, but I don't have the time or energy right now to actually concentrate on formatting it right.
So I'm thinking of actually writing a novel for Screnzy instead. I mean, it's the same principle: finish a writing project in a month (no, that does not include poetry or songs, although that might be a worthy endeavour one day).
I'd do one of my fantasy books, but I really need to think on the plot of that more, so that's out.
The novel idea I'm thinking about is called The Phantom Island for right now. It's another book in the series of Viggo Steele novels I've got big plans for.
The characters will include: Viggo; his brother Darian; the two shapeshifters, Aelfcynn and Rowan; Ethan Asher; and three new guys: Liam Asher (Ethan's twin brother...this'll be fun), Jack Darosa (a treasure-hunter whom I created a long time ago; some of you may be familiar with him), and Shaun Mark (he's a mythologist and just a smart, scholarly guy who was basically press-ganged into the group by Liam and Ethan).
In this novel, they're going to the Phantom Island of Hy-Brazil (it's a real place; see, here's the Wikipedia article: ). I haven't figured out just why; I'm thinking along the lines of a treasure or to find a ghost who has special secrets (but was killed before he could tell the media about those secrets).
Anyway. I think it has potential. Since this is just for fun, I think I'll probably make most of the plot up as I go along. I'll get a main idea, and go from there. I'll use the rest of time I have in April to finish up The Night Phoenix, and hopefully have planned out every little detail of my fantasy trilogy--or at least most of it.
